Your blog need to be lgbt friendly.
I love that I keep seeing that support post for Common Language Bookstore, and thought that people might want to spread that love to their local. LGBT+ bookstores are a dying breed, but they don’t have to be!
**on 18/04/18 the front window of GtW was smashed in an act of vandalism, which does happen quite frequently. While their online store gets up-and-running, they have a mail order service available! Details on website!
This list is probably not exhaustive, just what I managed to find with a little bit of searching. If you know of one that’s not on this list, leave a comment!
Help spread the word and support LGBT+ small businesses ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
“People don’t become gay, lesbian, or bisexual. People are just falling in love with other people.”
— Calum Hood
Being able to embrace the words “lesbian” and “bisexual” is so freeing. Like for so long we are taught that these are bad words or “nsfw” words and then in even in some LGBT communities (Tumblr particularly) they’re framed as sexual or exclusionary words. We keep being told not to say lesbian and bisexual. We keep being told not to identify as lesbian/bisexual. That it’s a phase, that it’s limiting.
Finding peace with lesbian and bisexual is such a wonderful experience. It’s a moment of acceptance and of understanding who you are and feeling a connection with all the lesbian and bisexual women who have come before you and who are in the community now.
I hope every lesbian/bisexual girl is able to reach that moment of acceptance for these beautiful, wonderful identities.

People who want to label everything….
I just looked up gold star lesbian and that’s really awful.
It’s almost as bad as western ‘purity culture’ where people put so much emphasis on a girl’s virginity. Ugh. I can’t believe stuff like this is acceptable to anyone in the LGBT community.
